Looking for a good fixed blade EDC & carry system...3 inch limit on lenght & $75-100 max. What would you get? Thanks.

I would get a D2 ArcLite from AG Russell, cord wrap the handles, and buy a mini-TekLok to maximize my carry options, so it could be carried horizontal or vertical on the belt, or as a neck knife.
I carry the custom version (also in D2) daily, and could not be happier with it. From a user's perspective, the Camillus version is probably just as good---man, it hurt to say that. I liked mine alot, and had it coated with BodyCote's chromium/BC1. My friend Chad has it now, and I can't find my pics of it:(

With a blade that small, you are going to want a hole in the knife to keep a secure grip. I suggest the Emerson La Griffe, which falls nicely into your price range.

By carry system, do you mean just a sheath, or a sheath and more elaborate covert system of holding the sheath and knife together on you?

Do you want a fighter or a tool?

I really like the Polkawski fighters but can't afford the custom and setteled on a CRKT Companion. Comes in way under budget with plenty of money left for a custom shealth.

The other knife I like to promote is the good ol' Buck knife. Come on, how many of these do you see on a guys belt and no one gives a second thought.

I read recently in the Practical tactical forum how someone said to stay away from the 'Ninja' knives it only gives the cops probable cause to interpret it as a weapon. Isn't that sad that people still judge on first impressions?
But anyway, I think you would get a lot less looks from a fixed buck knife than a Tactical on your belt.

Your in the military, camoflage is not all browns and greens but just blending in!

If you friend Chad was not banned here, he would probably post pictures that look like this:

I bet Chad likes the Small Sebenza even better, and carries it often:

The Spyderco Moran Drop Point is another excellent choice for a compact carry piece. Great cutting performance too!

I replaced the Teklok with a Sastre clip, whgich I prefer (though Normark's work is better!)

Stay Sharp!!

My favorite EDC (right now) is the Gryphon M10. It's a little over $100 now. The blade is 4" long, however. Still I think it's one of the best designed small knives out there right now.
