EDC fixed blade [Recommendarion Thread]

Landi knives have a great reputation. Dude has been in business for a while and is sold at places like CollectorKnives. If you don't want to trust it that is your choice, but you are doing yourself a disservice.

+1.

He had a few delivery issues years ago, but his feedback here is now stellar. He has been selling groups of 8-18 knives at a time and I haven’t seen any of the likely hundred owners in the last few months say anything bad.

Guy makes a great knife for the $$$.

I had one shipped to Canada and it was a perfect transaction.

If you are worried, buy the same thing from a well known manufacturer for $150-200, but I wouldn’t.

He has a batch of 18 in the works right now. I was talking with him two days ago about my custom and this thread came up.

Yup. I am going to buy a couple more for my sons.

I have smaller hands and the larger EDC is a great fit. I personally wouldn’t buy the smaller version, but everyone is different. I’m going to have him make me a larger Custom when I have the $$$.

I was going to buy a Bradford which is a better constructed knife, but at 3-4x the price, I couldn’t justify it. The Landi will get lots of hard use this summer in the woods and I’m confident it will take whatever I can throw at it.

I also have a Busse SAR 3 on the way. It is a bit spendy, but it should be a fantastic piece.

Hello, thanks for answering me, but i dont trust at all a handmade knife for 60$.. i think it is too good fot the price dont you think? If u could explain a little more for me it woukd be amazing, thank

Look at Landi's recent sales post. I don't own one, but I think his price is very good, and his knives are likely an excellent buy.
On our "Exchange"...you will see higher prices and lower prices... A high price does NOT necessarily mean that the knife is "that" much better than a lower-priced article. Many times, the higher price is "demanded" due to the long-term favor of the maker's art...
I would be happy to have a knife made by Landi...

Do a "search" for Landi's recent sales post of many fixed blades on this forum...

+1 on Street Beat, I own that one. If you could stretch a LITTLE higher in price to $155, the Lionsteel M4 very closely fits your specs, and is M390 steel.

ETA: The Ruike Hornet, which I own as well, is a good choice, 14c28n steel, and cost effective at $46, though the blade stock is a bit thinner than you want. Of these listed, I'd strongly prefer the Street Beat or the Lionsteel.

Others worth checking, the CS because it's a proven blade and tough 3v steel, the CRKT Siwi because it's an interesting new design that I may try myself:
