I like that knife

I would also cruise the Makers forum under fixed blades for sale right here on BF and be prepared to say "I'll take it!" fast when you see something you like. I'm on my second hand made knife from a couple of the well regarded makers here and am trying for a third now. You will find some pretty amazing values and some great choices there.

+1. I just ordered my first handmade from PML knives - 2.5" wharnie with orange G-10 handles. Looks like a mini butcher knife.:)

Currently, my FB EDC is a Rat RC-3 and I find it rides very nicely in my front pocket and is thin enough to allow normal use of the same pocket for other stuff.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Some were spot on.. I like the hairy carry, the BM 201 a bit.

The JK looks great, but I am impatient and shy away from customs that require waiting for them to be made for a number of reasons (and couldnt even find prices on his page).

I am leaning toward one of the BRKTs - either the Woodland or the Little Creek (which would require waiting per their schedule it seems)- or one of the Blind Horse knives.

Thanks again for the recs.

Take the plunge---Busse GW.
Or, Pohan Leu just bade me an EDC with a nice Hemp wrapped handle and a 3" blade.

Bob Dozier's knives are beautiful in use, Bark Rivers are the same.
My Dozier Straight Personal lives on my jeans, and the horizontal sheath is fantastic.

Well, given $$ constraints and not wanting to wait, I think I hit on a winner. I ordered a BRKT Pro Scalpel II today. Theoretically fits my requirements better than most options. Lets see how it works out in practice.

Thanks again for the comments/suggestions.

I know absolutely nothing about them, but that is one good looking knife.

Just click on photo gallery and the click the link that says: Standard Models with prices

Good choice on the PSII. I bought one a few months ago, and it's become my new EDC. Great little knife.

fallkniven F1 comes in my mind,

or maybe get just the blade, blank, and put some nice handle on it

and, a much smaller one, the WM1, also available as blade only
