EDC Fixed Blade?

I'm looking for an edc fixed blade. I like the LR Wright Patriot, but it looks looks like it's a tad small. I work on a ranch, so I mainly use fixed blades. I like the Becker knives, but not that that the coating gets all guncked up. So I guess I'm looking for a full grip knife, kydex sheath, for around $100-$150. Any recommendations?

Maybe the LT Wright Next Gen? It's what I would carry if worked on a ranch ;)

I will be watching this thread intently. I am thinking about buying or making a small/medium size fixed blade for EDC use. I want to try carrying a fixed blade. I really like the small of the back, "scout carry" style, but I already carry my Glock 43 there, and don't want to draw any more attention to the small of my back. I'm not sure how I'll carry it. Anyway, that's off topic, but I'll be interested to see what answers you get.

If you can stretch your budget a little bit look into JA Baker's S-Tac model, 3.5 inch blade/4.25 inch handle. I think they start around $190 for 1095 and G10 scales w/kydex and go up from there based on the options you want, and he offers a ton of them. Jeff is simply awesome to work with. Here is a pic of mine, hand satin M4 (@~64 HRC) with ironwood burl and mosaic pins, no question asked my favorite fixed to carry. Total was a bit over $350 IIRC, with a tooled leather pocket sheath. He is a maker here so please check him out, as he has a large number of other model/price options, the S-Tac is just the one I love!

This will fit your top end of budget. 1/8" 440C, 7.5" total length.
