Ok I know there is a thread with this same title . That's said I lost my Fourseven EDC light that I had for three years :( . I probably lost it during my vacation . So now I'm looking for a new light a single battery .I don't mind what kind of battery . Cr123 , AA as long as is bright . I have seen zebralight and like there design but my lack of flashlight knowledge doesn't let me understand what battery I should buy eneloop , regular Duraccel or some other battery  . I also don't understand the upside of using a different battery . So if someone can help . I also like some of the nightcore offering olight look a bit more like a toy so I might stay away . My budget is 40 to 80 if they come with rechargeable battery's I'll go higher .

If you see my Fourseven light let me know .

I picked this Nitecore up for around $50. 1,000 or so lumens, runs off a single 18650, tail switch with separate mode switch. It does everything I need.

O-light baton series has a few options, including the "R" series which are rechargeable. Reasonably priced too.

Beware getting an "S30R" as they've had some charging issues. They've fixed this with the S30R-II, but there are a lot of the first run still out there.

The nightcore looks cool but not the size I'm looking for . I want something small that I can stick in my pocket . Are Olighs dependable . Not sure about them .

I carry it in my pocket but I usually wear baggy cargo pants. If I wore tighter fitting pants or jeans I'd probably go a different route.

Not buy choice I have to wear a work uniform . I used to carry a foursevens turbo . My pocket was a bit to heavy . I actually sending it back I broke the lens on it . I have a preon but pen lights don't work for me . I'll EDC it until I find what I want .

I have the AAA and it is a pretty sweet light for what it is. I haven't tried the AA light yet as I have their 2 AA cell light already and for what it was purchased for it is also a great bang for the buck. Both lights provide plenty of light for me to do anything I need to and they are both 3 mode switchable.

Ok this is where my flashlight inexperience come . The light looks cool but I'm not sure this is what I need . I use the flashlight a lot at work . I'm not sure if the word flood is the right term but I need a light that cover a wider area up close . I tried the Preon2 and it doesn't work for me so I'm guessing a pen light size won't work for me . That said I'm picking one up for my brother- in-law .

Yeah they sell out pretty quick. I'm sure you saw them offered in other finishes as well. Mine was actually a gift. When I received it I thought "this is cute, how bright can it actually be?" Wow, was I surprised. Very nice light. I liked it so much, I bought this one to use for bigger jobs.

The zebra light sc52 is my favorite right now with the rechargable enloop batteries. These batteries last longer than normal aa. I got 4 and rotate accordingly. It's actualy got 3 main modes, high medium and low. And each one of those modes have a lower setting if you like. But it lights up more area, more floody than a tactical. I use it around the house and when I walk my dog. I love that the clicky switch is near the bezel, easy to click on and off and cycles by holding it in. One click high, also 4 clicks tells you how much battery power is left. Really cool. It's small and lightweight.

I carry my Fenix PD22 everyday (single CR123 battery). I have a Fenix LD01 (single AAA battery) that I carry sometimes. The LD01 is very small, barely larger than its single AAA battery.

This is my stairs 20 feet away, measured with a laser , high medium and low

So many option . Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't zebra light has a new light that's similar . I'm leaning toward the zebra just because I like the looks . I going to get two maratac just because I like how small it is I'm going to be checking the website everyday . And third I might just order on olight with cr123 battery because I have so manny of them .

Not sure about the new zebra, I keep a copper maratac in my work truck also a fine choice. But it is a twisty to turn on and off. Good for work but I like the location of the zebras button for edc. Comes down to what you want in your flashlight..
