EDC folder recommendation

I’m looking for suggestions on a folding EDC knife. The kicker is I’m looking for one with a blade length of 3.75” to 4”. The one I’m considering is the Al Mar Eagle (that’s the general styling I like). But with the scales I want it’s edging up to $200. I’m hoping to hold it to $100ish. Preferably less.
I’m currently carrying the CRKT M4-02:

Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks.

If you like slim folders, how about Cold Steel broken skull or used ZT 0450 or Spyderco Police?

sharp_edge sharp_edge Lol you’ve got that right. I’ve seen him recommend a Buck 110 when a used was asking which titanium flipper framelock they could get. I’ve seen him recommend a buck 110 when someone asked what Spyderco they should get.

Someone asking what car they should get, you know the answer, Buck 110.

In all seriousness though I saw someone claiming in another thread that AlMar either had already stopped or will soon stop producing knives. Something to do with his wife and his estate.

I have no idea if this is true or not. (Seriously I would like to know) but if it is true then it might be a good idea for the OP to save up and just get the $200 knife while he still can.

That's real steel megalodon g10. Someone edited my bladehq link saying please don't link vendors who don't support site. I though this was a good vendor to link. No? Others links are not edited out...
I don't have this one but thought OP you might like the looks. I think it's decent and cheap. Under 5 oz

One of my standard suggestions for consideration: Steel Will Cutjack (3.5" blade). The D2 version is pretty inexpensive and the M390 version is around $150. I have the Mini Cutjack in M390 and love it. For me it's a great EDC flipper. Their larger/longer ones tend to be lock backs which I don't think you're looking for.

My best suggestion, spend about $30 on a;
Kershaw/Al Mar: AM-4

Not everything you want but well under budget, and Kershaw budget knives are typically better then most, so I imagine no less from an Al Mar collab. That should at least hold you over for a new knife purchase for a little while, and save the rest towards buying the actual Al Mar you really want.

I found them very flimsy at the store and lacking in quality feel. Looks good though my friend kind of likes his. He wanted and was asking me for something with long blade and light and got one of those. Then he bought zt562 once he had one in hand. I was like, what happened to slim and light lol

Let us know what you get!
I ended up getting the Kershaw 2330 Al Mar AM-4 assisted flipper. It’s a little over 3.5 inches - not as long as I wanted but it’s a nice size.

Plus it’s the same style as the Eagle. Combined with price that made me pull the trigger on it.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions, some things to think about for my next purchase!

;~)
