EDC for Girlfriend

I would like to get an EDC for my girlfriend. Are there any that are specifically made to suit smaller weaker female hands? Or at least one that is ergonomically designed with women in mind. I was thinking along the lines of a Spyderco Native or a Griptilian. Something along those lines. Not to small and defiantly no pink. Any suggestion welcomed and thank you.

The Spyderco UKPK Lightweight with maroon handle and drop point blade (looks friendlier than a leaf blade) should be fine. And it's affordable.

In order for a woman, or anyone, really, to need a different knife than an average man because of issues of physical strength is if both her arms are paralyzed.

A knife suitable for a given purpose for a man is equally suitable for the same purpose for a woman. The only real possible difference is hand size, and that's a rather small factor.

Either of the knives you mentioned work just fine, and the Mini-Grip and the Native are sized fine for smaller hands.

Might want to ask your girlfriend about this one. Many folks, especially chicks, are not into EDC-ing anything - especially a knife. Unless you know she is into it, you might just get a blank stare when you give it to her. Just a thought.

I didn't ask Mrs. Powernoodle what she wanted. I just made up a County Comm mechanic's ring with a Leatherman PS4, Fenix AAA light, County Comm prybar, and tweezers, and dropped it in her purse. Fortunately, it has stayed there, and she has found it useful.

Maybe something in an assisted opening? The SOG Twitch II is an excellent, small EDC, not very expensive, and you can pick one up at Lowes. All metal, has a "kick" option to open, and is lightweight. Or perhaps a mini-griptilian / Benchmade 707 Sequel. Great "first carry" options IMHO.

SAK, if she responds positively than I'd start considering Spydercos or Benchmades.

I think there is some good advice there about involving her in the decision. It would suck to waste a lot of time, effort and money to buy a nice knife that she tosses in a drawer because she does not like it (or never wanted any knife in the first place).

Take her to a knife shop and turn her loose. If she stands there with a bored stare...you have your answer. If she starts handling knives and suggests one, you will have a suggestion far better than any you will get here.

My go-to recommendation for EDC (regardless of sex): Kershaw Leek. They're fantastic.

My GF keeps a CRKT hissatsu in her purse

WOW. Folder or fixed blade?

I got my girl a William Henry E-06 with maple burl inlays, and she loves it. It's got more zeros in the price tag than I would have liked, but it's well below the usual amount of capital required for a William Henry knife, and it's the perfect knife for a girl. Not spooky or scary like half the knives I've been known to carry, and also not pink.
Just a really elegant, light-yet-sturdy, scalpel-sharp pocketknife.

I also knew a girl some while back who carried a Kershaw E.T. on the outside of her purse. That was the great thing about that knife; the novel locking mechanism and the blade hole that doubled as a carabiner made the knife less of a deadly weapon and more of just a neat accessory.

The fixed. I have the folder and LOVE it. But I bought the fixed and didnt like the handle so I gave it to her and she keeps it in her big ass coach purse.
She likes it.

Before that she edced a kabar tdi mini but she got tired of carrying that around everyday on her persons after a week so
she is happy with a big knife in her purse.

If she could talk to my wife.....:D

How about a Benchmade Mini Dejavoo for the op's GF?

Thanks for all the suggestions so far. Yes of course she knows and wants it. All the silly psychological rubbish about threatening appearance or color do not apply. We're talking purely practical and functional folder here.

I think a Delica would be a great choice, very functional, great edc size, and with the added benefit of colors to choose from!

Also very affordable, with a good steel (VG10)

Izula. Dont have to worry about their fingers in the way of the lock, simple, effective and multiple uses. Inexpensive.
