As an LEO I carry a Godfather. My wife has kidnapped my old BM Spike which had been retired. She wants an EDC auto. I've explained why she can't carry an auto but she wants a Mel Pardue (Red Head). She had a Leek but lost it and does not want another. Anybody have any ideas or what does your better half carry.
Thanks much

Oops, I thought this was a trade thread :D

My wife prefers small folders like my U2 or my SAK Camper and then only to peel fruit or make wooden sausage skewers for the kids.

My wife carries a Spyderco Rescue Jr. in her purse. It's smallish and cheap and I don't have to worry about her stabbing herself. She uses it all the time at work.
Cheers,
Rob

I gave my wife a Spyderco Cricket and she loves it. She especially likes the shape of the blade for cutting out newspaper articles of interest. Another choice might be the Spyderco Viele 2. I just got one and it is a very handsome and well-designed small knife with a blade of 2 7/8". I like mine quite a lot and it woulds clip very nicely into a purse or onto a jacket pocket. With its modern design look to it, it would not be quite so tactical appearing as some knives.

My wife carries one of my earlier small linerlocked folders. interior cut woolly mammoth handles with her initials scrimed on one side and pansies (her sorrority's flower) on the other. She is an educator and technically isn't supposed to carry any knife onto school system property, but it doesn't appear a weapon and is not used except in her office as needed appropriately.
That is not only a bad rule for adults in my opinion, but also a bad rule, in my opinion, for about 99.999% of the students who are responsible young folks who may have a valid reason to carry a folder, as was certainly allowed "when I was a kid"...Am I old enough that I just said that????

Mr "Antique", I guess,

It is hard to beat a HideAwayKnife for versatility in carry options. It is especially so for women who often wear clothing that have no pockets.

My wife carries her HAK all the time and it is fun to figure out where she it hiding it on any given outfit:)

Thanks guys. I see a trend here though. Wifes kidnap knives. Still not decided though. I'm going to steal my Spike back.

I've had several ladies carry on about the little Spyderco Spin that I occasionally carry. It's small, thin, (1.35 oz.) and very sharp - would be great for purse carry. ($49.97 @ NGK)

My wife carries a Pink Jester. She had my Al Mar Shrike for about 6 months - but I think she borrowed it once and forgot it in the bottom of one of her purses. The Jester is the only one she actually uses on a regular basis. Every time I see Sal Glesser at knife shows I ask him about when they're going to make more pink knives. He says they don't sell well enough.
