Ok, so i've been thinking about this for a while, and i'm trying to figure out a combination of gadgets that i could carry with me everyday and be prepared for whatever the world has to throw at me. I have an idea for a carry configuration so let me know if there's anything you would change. And of course, let me know what tools and gadgets you carry everyday, or almost everyday. How do you distribute it so it doesn't feel like you've got a mack truck in your pants :D. Here is my EDC gadget rotation (note, i don't have all these things, it's kinda a wish list):
left front pocket: main knife and phone, pens and sharpie, maybe a Zeiss 5x10 T* MiniQuick or something of the sort, agrussel folding scissors
right front pocket: keys and sf e1e ha
left belt: multitool (maybe crunch or maybe a sog or something)
right belt: some nice lighter on a gear keeper from tad
around neck: spyderco mouse in a cf kydex sheath
someplace on belt: spare for e1e
I'd like to carry some paracord on me someplace, but i'm not sure how to do that, it has to be unobtrusive, but i don't need quick access to it. Well, bring on the ideas! I'm looking forward to hearing what you carry every day. Thanks for your help :)

Well I'm not a heavy carrier when it comes to EDC! :)
But the things that I normally carry is
Right front pocket : Endura clipped to the pocket and keys at the bottom
Left front pocket : My cellphone, a very small and handy Ericsson T28s, and my carkeys

And that's about it.... everything I need, well except for the money, usually I just carry a card or two around, It's more comfortable that way! :)

For me its right front pocket a stinger. left pocket jsp creditcard blade in creditcard wallet, keys.Shirt pocket jsp omega 3jr in card wallet & asp palm oc spray. My cane. if im out shopping i carry my jsp omega check book with omega3 blade.

Forgot to add that somtimes ill rotate the omega 3jr for my Emerson Lagriffe neckknife which i do quite often because it is one sweet little knife!!!.

 Dude ~ That's plenty of gadgets! You surely have lotsa pocket space for your toys.. :D

Sam..

I've upgraded my list a bit now that I've got a Hydrastorm to carry my gear in. I carry on average two Spydercos, a Brunton Helios lighter, my Motorola Talkabout, a couple books, a Leatherman KF4, and an Arc light. I'd recommend getting a decent bag to carry everything in and then you've got a whole lot more flexibility. I hardly carry all of these things at the same time, though. This list is for when I'm running around town and not for in school.

BTW anybody know where the link is to how to make one of those paracord wrap belts? Those are just too sweet.:D

I like it when this kind of question gets asked because invariably, my answer will differ from the last time I responded to on of these type posts. OK, here goes. On me today:

DDR 3" EDC - LH IWB

Simonich boron carbide Pikuni II - neck

Emerson Commander '02 SF GH - RH pocket

Motorola StarTac 7860 phone - LH "kidney position"

Sure Fire 8NX Commander - RH "kidney position" in a ballistic nylon sheath.

Pilot Q7 retractable gel ink pen - shirt pocket

AU stingray billfold - right rear pocket

Seiko titanium kinetic watch - LH wrist

:D

yeah, i've always carried a lot of stuff with me, i just got a couple pairs of those dockers mobile pants, and they definitely help. Ok, keep the replies coming :)

Pete - sounds like "knife nut pants" to me ;) How many pockets in total?

well let's see, front left, front right has 2, back left and right is 2 more, then 2 "hidden vault pockets on the outside of your thighs, so that's 7. It really helps me get to my stuff more quickly since it's not all jammed into one pocket. :) I got mine on sale at filenes for about 35. They have a msrp of about 50.

Right Rear: Wallet with all kinds of crap and a Swiss Card
Left Rear: nothing, maybe a Spydercard soon
Belt: sometimes a FB
Keychain: Swiss-Tech Utili-Key, Swiss-Tech MicroPlus, Maglite Solitaire, P38, keys

Right front pocket clipped Kershaw Whirlwind and money clip.Left front pocket change, key ring w/keys and ASP sapphire light.Left rer pocket carries my wallet and right rear carries my red bandana. On left side of belt is a Leatherman Supertool w/mini mag-lite in a combo pouch. On right side of belt is my Motorola WordLine pager.Left front shirt pocket carries a cheap Bic pen and i usually carry my Motorola Star-Tac cell phone there too. When im at work i leave the Kershaw and the Supertool at home and carry a Uncle Henry 834 stockman.

Two words: Paracord shoelaces.

I also saw a post on the Outdoor Forums once about a belt woven from paracord.

Right pocket: EDC of the day. (Today was a Spyderco Centofante.)
Left pocket: Photon II and Spyderco Ladybug on keychain.
Right side belt sheath: Leatherman Mini (I just got this little gadget and am most impressed at the fact that full sized pliers come in such a small package.)
Neck: Sometimes an Arclite.

I understand that most of you will never look at me quite the same way again, but if I'm going to comment at all I have to be honest... :)

The real secret is that the majority of that stuff really doesn't take up much room or weigh much of anything. The other is trick is that I carry more stuff on my belt than most, although not enough that it is very obvious.

Here is where it all goes... Are you sorry you asked yet? ;)

key pocket:
Victorinox Manager II, sapphire

front right pocket:
on keychain:
Spyderco Ladybug, black, plain edge
Swiss-Tech UtiliKey
Photon Microlight II, white
clipped:
--REKAT Sifu, green
-or
--Kershaw Boa, multi-colored

right rear pocket:
Eagle Creek Tri-Fold Wallet

left front pocket:
Leatherman Juice S2

left rear pocket:
Adventure Medical Pocket Medic Kit

rear right on belt:
horizontal sheath: Benchmade 710, ironwood scales
StarTac

left on belt in front of pouch:
horizontal sheath: Gerber Legend Multi-Plier 800

left on belt behind pouch:
horizontal sheath: ASP Key Defender, blue

left-side waist pouch
on zipper pull: Photon Microlight II, red
uppper pocket:
Palm 505
Comfort Grip Shorty Pen
Zeiss MiniQuick Pocket Telescope
survival kit packed in a 3"x4"x1/4" mesh pouch
on zipper pull--Mini Fox-40 Whistle, "wings" removed
--Victorinox Compass/Thermometer/Magnifier
--Star Flash Signal Mirror, 2"x3"
--Spark-Lite fire starter
--sharpening rod
--2 safety pins, large
--cord
lower pocket:
Motorola TalkAbout Pager
Victorinox SwissChamp XLT
AT Cross MicroPen Stylus
Vector Gear lighter

Does that help you visualize it any better?

Now I have an admission to make... Most of the time I also carry my H&K P7 M8 and a spare magazine hidden in a special compartment in the back of that waist pouch. :p
