My CRK Umnumzaan seems a bit large - perhaps the Kershaw 1993-2 Gentleman's Folder or Buck 172 Mayo TNT would be better - if you can still find one (They are both out of production now.).

How bout an Emerson a-100?

That was my first thought too. Maybe a mini A100 too, as far as I know its the only tactical knife that was originally a gentleman's artsy folder many years ago.

The gayle bradly is also one hell of a knife!

Not my picture as mine is too beat up.

I believe a BM 940 fits the bill perfectly. Classy yet dangerous.

It's extremely light and pretty slim so EDC is perfect for it. It also has enough strength to do light-medium tasks with ease. And even though it is not meant to be used in a tactical role, I do think it could work adequately due to its blade length.

Also, it's a very good looking knife. I can't stop looking at it.

The first thoughts that come to my mind are:

Benchmade Mini Dejavoo
The CRKT Ken Onion Ripple and Eros
Spyderco Native 4 CF
Kershaw Leek (I like the one with Stainless steel frame lock and composite blade.)
Several Mcustas

As much as I love my Spyderco GB, I think it is a little too beefy to qualify as a gents folder.

i recommend the spyderco centofante 4. it is like a small razor. it is very light, and the blade is thin for slicing, it can pierce too. they dont cost very much either.

Benchmade 940/943 came immediately to mind.
Mcusta (several models)
Spyderco Sage maybe
Spyderco damascus Delica if you're in a spending mood (no pocket clip though)
Kershaw has several- Zing, OD-1, even the lowly Liner Action or whatever it's called

Personally I think the Benchmade 943 is far and away the first choice. It's a knife that somehow manages to have the best qualities of a big knife and the best qualities of a small one at the same time. It looks like a small knife but has the blade length and handling of a large one.

I don't get all these recommendations for the Gayle Bradley---that thing is a tank of a knife. It's way too heavy to be considered a gentleman's folder in my opinion. Great knife, but massive.

I'm not sure what a 'gent's' folder is but it sounds fruity. :D

I would say that a classy folder with considerable tactical potential (in the right hands) is the CF Stretch. The CF looks good but is also extremely tactile, no slippery mother of pearl or anything fruity like that here!

Plus you get the usual fantastic Spyderco ergos, rapid opening with the Spyder hole and laser-like super steel in the form of ZDP-189 into the bargain.

But the real genius behind the Stretch is the blade shape. Its thin to aid in cutting, full flat ground and tapers to a very definite point, but without compromising on tip strength. Undoubtedly one of the most practical, useful and potentially quite deadly blade shapes around! And due to the extremely efficient design, it packs over 3 inches of cutting edge into a nice compact package that fits perfectly into the palm of my hand.

Combine that with a nice subtle coated clip and you have one awesome EDC with plenty of sting in the tail and, yes, all the other fruity stuff too. :D

Kershaw Nakamura 1480. The one I have is a well built, solid, knife.
