Im curious to know how everybody carries their knives. I like mine in my back pocket, tip down body is in the pocket, clip is out. Its easy access and I cant even tell its there.but I have a bit of a problem. the GFs car has leather, there are times when I get in the knife has scraped it, thankfully I didnt mess it up, but its definitely possible. also when im sitting on leather furniture I worry about the knife scraping the leather. Ive tried carrying in my front pockets, but I dont like it. the knife either hinders bending or seriously gets in the way when I want to get something out of my pocket.

what do you guys think?? how do you carry? do you have the same problems? any suggestions?

Clipped knives I've always just put in my right front pocket, slipjoints in the watch pocket of my jeans.

You could always try IWB at 3'oclock, that will free up your pocket.

I carry my larger folders there so they don't hit my keys or cell phone that I keep in my front pockets.

I think i may be moving to IWB carry. When i wear board shorts, as i often do in the summer, i keep it at 3 o'clock, but i know the left rear passenger door of my car has taken some damage from me getting in and out from my leek pocket clip when i keep it in the pocket....jeans and other pants.

i carry my medium knives with pocket clips in my right front pocket clipped to the rear of the pocket, i carry my smaller knives either on my keychain or in my watch-pocket. My larger folders go either in the front pocket or in the back right pocket. my multi-tools either go in the front of the front pocket(skeletool) or on my belt at 5 o'clock in a sheath (gerber compact mp400, or wave).
my clipless knives(SAKs,Multi blade slippies) go loose in the left front pocket, the single blade slippies go in the right pocket loose.

also when it comes to tip up/tip down if its not tip up i don't carry it

Like this when I'm wearing pants with wide pockets:

IWB = In waist band?

I have my BM 930 Kulgera in my front right pocket, tip up, and my 1660ST Leek in my change/pocket watch pocket tip down. I like the dual carry. Soon gonna switch it up a little bit for an Emerson Super Karambit. Not sure where it's gonna sit yet, though.

yes IWB is inside waist band. I may have to try it. I really do like it in my back pocket though.

My EDC rides in the right front pocket clipped as far to the corner as it will go. For tip up knives, this almost guarantees that it won't open up and risk poking your hand.

Anywhere else and it feels wierd, besides, I keep my multi-tool pouch on my 3 o'clock through my belt.

I usually carry tip down IWB 4 oclock (as I see it from above). I find it a very discrete way to carry, the clip can sit behind a belt. Carrying in pocket results in me catching the knife/clip on other items like waller/phone/keys.

The only problem I've had with IWB is the odd occasion when untucking my shirt in a hurry to sit on the porcelain throne - I've sent a couple of folders clattering to the floor this way... and folders always seem to open after the first bounce... and the floor is always marble... :D

Clipped folder goes in the right front pocket, slipjoints and non-clipped knives go in the left front pocket with my wallet.

For when I wear jeans, I carry a folder in my right front pocket not clipped, and I have sewed a little slot in my right front pocket to put a slippie in there. When I'm in gym shorts or similar, I just clip a folder IWB.

One knife is clipped to my left front pocket, one is dropped into the bottom of a pocket in it's leather slip sheath, and the third rides in my watch pocket or clipped to left front pocket.

Cliped Folders - I carry these in my right-front pocket, all the way to the right. In this position, the knife is laying against my thigh well below the hip joint, so I don't experience any particular discomfort while bending or crouching down. It also leaves most of the pocket free for other things.

Small Uncliped Folders - My smaller slip-joints or SAKs I just carry loose in my right front pocket. If I carry this way (unlike a clipped knife) I can't carry anything else in this pocket since it tends to interfer with the knife or get in the way when I fish for it.

Large Uncliped Folders - My larger slip-joints or SAKs (or multi-tools) I will carry in a belt sheath/pouch just behind my right hip. I find this is out of my way and does not tend to catch on things when I am in the car (seatbelt or steering wheel) like something on the belt in front of my hip.

My usual pocket "load out" is (working clockwise) R-front: knife & pocket change, R-Rear: Bandana/handkerchief, L-Rear: Wallet, L-Front: Key ring
