Mine belonged to my father (now passed on). It was a safe-queen while he owned it but not so with me. A knife is a terrible thing to waste.Very nice set up!
Yes, it's old but still going strong. The ATS-34 steel is kind of underrated. I find it quite adequate
. I also own its big brother - the 1410ST Starkey Ridge. However I strongly prefer the Turkey, mostly due to the thinner and less wide blade geometry
. The edge itself is unfortunatelly all too thick. Therefore, I've regrinded it to a more suitable 8 degrees/side.
