Thanks Chris, I have some diamond coated files too but they seem to be slow. I guess it took you some time too.

It does take a while. I don't have vise available, so everything is freehand. A dremel with blade clamped with vise should be easier.

Care must be taken to avoid the metal shavings gets into pivot area, that will cause grittiness and perhaps nylon washer getting torn. I had to dismantle my EL01 to clean this mess.

Good luck my friend. EL01 with the hump is best candidate, as it's spine is much lower than where the wave is.

I'm a fan as well.

I carried mine straight for probably a year and half before moving on to other blades. Still one of my all time favorites, one of the few knives I bought a duplicate of cause I liked it sooo much:thumbup:
