Mr Jack Black you are killing me with that forum knife. Been wanting one and watching for one and low n behold one pops up on for sale and I'm to slow. Swiped out from under me. Now I know how the fellow who was a little slow on the boys knife feels. That's life but those are wonderful pic with a great knife! Enjoy

So how was it Johnny (you did promise)?

Very, very goode! :) Dark, complex, tar and bonfire toffee, smoke, liquorice, and lots of other good stuff. Hats off to ScruffUK, he brews an excellent beer  :)

I have Duncan (Campbellclanman) to thank for that (see http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/1028679-My-Friend-Gave-Me-His-Favourite-Knife). Feel very honoured to have it :)

You're welcome Jack and thanks for the compliment. This is our second brew of 'Muddy Porters'. First time around we did some 750ml swing tops.....bottles for sharing. It can be hard work getting to the bottom of such a rich brew.

'Oakwood' is the name of the old Yorkshire stone terrace I rent with my bro. This was my allowing him to make a hoppy beer (Fuggles plus dry hopped with local grown, picked and very aptly titled 'Northern Brewer'). I made sure it had some proper character and body...not like the light and hoppy stuff that many a micro-brewery are churning out.

Its time we got another one on actually.

How are you finding the Slm EDC? Ray has just posted one to me, now the wait......

I like it because it is a smaller knife. Not a heavy task use folder imo. Wouldn't pierce something and try to cut like a saw with it because I feel you would slip with this one.

Sounds ideal, I'm not after a heavy use folder (I'll pick up a fixed blade for that), more a classy, well made pocket knife. It looks like Ray puts a fine edge on it too?

Just realized that my Opinel will be in the mail today......
Until then, my Victorinox Pioneer.
:DI love getting new knives.

Man I have been slacking on this thread! I just took a couple pics of my marriage knife. Has 3 months on it and I thought it would be a nice time to show how it has aged since tying the knot. Never forced a patina but didn't shy from using it on anything. It has taken on a beautiful grey shade that I really like. Came in handy for a big beer and cheese fest I was at this weekend. Will have up the pics this evening.

Will
