...some of you may recognise the design influence ;)

A bit of back story.

The gas cap on my push lawn mower is a very poorly designed piece. It comes off at least once, usually more than once while I am mowing our lawn. I try to keep an eye on it, so I don't run over it when it comes off. Yesterday, shortly after mowing up under some bushes I noticed the cap was missing. I went back and looked under the bushes.

Here's a piece, here's another piece, here's yet another fragment. Yep, I had mulched the plastic cap.

I returned to the big box store where the mower was purchased, figuring that the only reason anyone with even a smidgen of common sense would approve such a sorry design did so for the sole purpose of selling replacement parts. The only two replacement gas caps they had would not fit: one too big, one too small, both threaded (mine is not).

I called a local chainsaw/mower repair shop. He looked up my model number and said he had the part in stock. When I arrived to purchase it, it was the same small one the big box store had. He did some more searching on his computer and found another part number. Of course the one I actually need is four times as expensive as the one he has in stock. He told me he can have it in the next day.

But I still have nearly half a yard to finish. So, out comes the Colonial from my pocket to slice in half a ziploc bag which was rubber banded on the gas tank so I could finish the job.

How do you like the Al Mar (is that an Eagle)? I've been contemplating a few of their blades.

(I typically carry between 3 and 5, I don't think you have a problem.) ;)

Today: Case, GEC, and Joker (sorry about the cell phone pic)

I absolutely love my Al Mar, VG-10 in a hefty feeling folder. I love Al Mars G-10 as well, it's got a great grip to it. And that is my VECP v2 I highly recommend the VECP. It's my first choice for a titanium non-flipping folder even over my sebenza and startac umnumzaan.

Also the worst part about carrying 4 knives is I'm looking for a 5th way to carry (neck knife) lol
