Clearing climbing thorny vines, poison Ivy and brush today my Buck 113 was used to trim the thorns from the cut ends of the vines so I could yank them out of the trees...my machete took care of the rest:D

Sadly, very little action for the Schrade Heritage Jack today.

I used the pen blade to cut strips of strapping tape to repair my cracked Dell laptop.

I know, but I am cash poor and trying to hold this thing together until I can save enough to buy my son a new MacBook Pro, so I can have his.

I will say though, that pen blade is a wicked slicer!

I had no idea this knife was so large. Whenever I saw it in photos, I assumed it was dinky and that the hole was your standard Spyderco opening hole. Always looked odd to me. Now it makes much more sense.

It's not that large, I think it may appear large because the photo is large.
It's actually quite compact, here's a better idea of size next to a Spyderco Native:

Of all the knives I own, this S.S.F. feels the best in my hand.... like a custom made pair of shoes.
And the hole can't be used to open it, the flipper is perfectly designed to cantilever open fast and very smoothly with a quick downward press on it.

Nah, I meant I thought it was about the size of a Spyderco Ladybug or Dragonfly (or similar). I thought the hole in the blade was the size of the hole in the Native, if you follow me. But thank you for the specs!
