What is an oatcake? Pics please. :)

Just for you :)

These are Scottish or Highland oatcakes, like a savoury biscuit made from fine-milled oats.

However, when I was a boy the far more common oatcake, sometimes known as a Staffordshire oatcake, was very different, like a sort of oat pancake, which often accompanied a Full English Breakfast :)

Pete

Pete, you always make me hungry :)

There's no rest for the weary ;)

That knife found a good home, where it won't be bored ;)

Mine didn't have to do much today, just cut an onion and carrots for Schabzigerchnöpfli mit Böleschweizi (maybe Andi understands half of this :D). But last week at a friends house (who doesn't have a single even remotely sharp knife), it had vegetable duty and had to cut heaps of onions, garlic, carrots, broccoli, leeks, mushrooms etc.

It's important not to leave the room after eating, because as long as you stay you don't notice that it stinks :D.
