Other than food preparation, my favorite workout -- opening a package containing another knife. Due to the kindness of willgoy I now have a Queen peanut. I hope to get pictures up tomorrow.

Both the Northfield Ben Hogan, and my trust Case Stockman did a good bit of food prep over the weekend, since the rented house was low on cutlery and we had 28 people to feed so every available knife was cutting veggies or butterflying lamb legs. No pics, unfortunately - too much time working to go grab the camera. :)

Today's carry.......

Great stuff. Well done Will. Look forward to seeing your new 'nut Doug :)

I had to use the small blade on my Peanut to open the backs of some staples on a paper that is due today

In other words, your Peanut helped you out in a virtual survival situation?! That Peanut deserves to be mentioned in dispatches!;)

It's true sir, I would consider the paper worth what the Peanut costed in terms of my grade. Even though there was light scratches on the blade, I'll consider that it paid for its self.

:D

Good luck with your paper :)

If you don't mind my asking, what ESEE is that and is that a standard sheath or something you have done special? Looks great!

No problem man. It's an Izula II with just the factory sheath and cliplate. I can't remember if i had to flip the clip around or not, i know i had done it at one point when i was experimenting with different carry styles. The picture is how i usually carry it, although i have a custom leather belt sheath with firesteel loop that i prefer for hiking/camping/random outdoorsiness.

Nothing too fancy but dang functional.

Thanks! I've been debating just how much use I would get out of a fixed blade versus my large Sebenza that I typically EDC and what size to get. I'm still not sold enough on the sheer utility of one to place my order online (though I'm getting closer), but I have to say with the micarta scales and in the in the pocket sheath like that I can see the Izula might earn its keep!
