I know most of you know what they are. I put the names for those who may be new, or just may not recognize them. =]

Trying to decide on a knife to carry to work. I'm thinking Strider SNG, ZT 0550, or maybe something else. I will show pics later tonight when I decide what I'm going to pick up on my way out at 5:45am lol.

Yesterday, I replaced the water pump on my Ford Explorer. As much as I like this truck, it's time to sell it. My wife doesn't like driving & parking that large of a vehicle in the city, and my little 4-cylinder Chevy pickup gets much better mileage... So I'm getting it ready for sale. The mechanic whose shop is on my block looked at the job I was getting ready to tackle, and laughed, saying "good luck!"
It took 2 hours to remove the air handler, hoses, radiator, fan & housing, and serpentine belt, to get to the water pump itself; about 15 minutes to remove the old pump and scrape off the old gasket (which is where my Opinel No. 10 stepped in... followed by some 60-grit sandpaper); another 15 minutes to prep the new gasket and fit the new pump; and another 2 hours to put it all back together.
Waited overnight to fill up the cooling system again, to ensure that the gasket goop was fully dried, and then this morning filled it up again & fired it up... The moment of truth......AHA! No leaks, no more overheating, and the big V8 purred like a very, very large kitten. ;) :D
Nice way to spend a gorgeous Saturday afternoon, and leading up to a triumphant Sunday morning! :)

Well I have a new one. My wife does a lot of quilting and wanted a nice quilting table for her birthday. So yesterday me and my better half went out and picked one up. Me and my jack got to assemble it. Man what a mess! There was more tape and plastic wrapping and packages and tie straps than you could shake a stick at.

A couple hours of work and more cussing than I'd like to admit to later we had it done. Think next time I'll just build one from scratch. :)
