I think it is worth it. One of my favorite things about the axis lock is being able to swing it open and closed. And a little side to side play doesn't bug me that much :)

I bought my girlfriend a pink squeak and then ended up buying one for myself I liked it so much.
 
2 of my favorites for a lazy saturday brew/mead and cider bottling day.
