"How do you like the Techno as an EDC? Thinking between that and a Surefire Jekyll"
@ Wivo9: I like it, researched it for 2 weeks before the purchase (when it comes to knifes I'm not an impulse buyer) so I knew exactly what I was getting.
Certainly not light in weight as a Delica, Dragonfly, Rat 2 or Mini Grip as a pocket carry, but surprisingly not at all "heavy".
As a small over built tank of a knife it's superb in fit/finish/materiel's, sort a non custom custom.
I have a size small hand so it's a good fit, the geometry of opening/blade deployment using the hole took a day to get used to as it's not like any other Spyderco, somewhat of a learning curve involved.
As with with many new knives, loosened up nicely after a day or so.
The hole is not designed to be accessed/deployed with the left hand as most Spyderco's are, though it can be just not with the thumb.
I'm happy with it and will be making a few mods, I'm replacing the blue G10 backspacer with an orange one Cuscadi made for me with smaller thinner 'gears' (as Luke calls them) a.k.a. jimping.
I'm also thinking of finding someone skilled at anodizing Ti. and having the scales done in a shade of Bronze as seen in the photo below.
And possibly a third mod of something similar to the scale texture in the other photo below, but just a thought at this time.
Replacing the default blue G10 with an orange one like this that Cuscadi made for me:
May get the Ti. scales anno'd bronze light or med. similar to this:
And I like this scale texture, though haven't made up my mind yet.
