GB again today fresh off the stones, M4 is so wear resistant I no longer have finger prints on my left index finger & thumb, let's hope bar keeper's friend works as well at removing skin cells from my XC DMT plate as it does metal particles.
Haha holy hell, you weren't kidding! Blade looks great, though. I kinda want to see how your fingers ended up.

I know Emerson gets a bad rap from time to time, however this example is absolutely perfect. This had without a doubt the most solid lockup I have ever felt. More than my Umnumzaan or SnG. I have had some bad Emerson's and some good Emerson's in my day, but I have to say their latest runs with the standoff consruction have been done with SUPERB fit and finish. My blade was centered and my lock up was nice and early. Can anyone else attest to this? Has anyone else seen their QC go up?

Yeah definitely. I just picked up a CQC-7 from a local shop, and didn't think twice once I saw the improvement in finish and stand-offs. Emerson's I've had in the past needed to be cleaned, and tweaked to get centered and smooth. This one was solid, smooth and centered from the box.

These three throughout the day. 0550 and Humpback Whittler in the morning, switched to the Double Bevel at night.
