Thanks Quiet, I appreciate the compliment. I agree that the scales take a terrific knife in it's natural state and just bumps it up.

I love the shapes of Goddard. Simple but functional!

I agree. One of those is definitely on my list. I always have one cued up on the 'Bay, but then something else will draw my attention (and money) and then I'm stuck back at "I'll have to get one of those at some point."

It's a rainy gloom inducing day, but it's difficult to stay sullen when you finally have your favorite knife sharpened to a micro bevel razor edge after foolishly trying to slice roofing and you get a mid term paper back from a respected professor with compliments and an A on it. All with a birthday tomorrow. It's a good day.

Keep in mind it's a sprint run, they won't be around forever !

Those scales on your RAT-1 are sick! I also usually go with a RAT-1 (stock scales) and a traditional:

Thanks Derek . I have to return the compliment as well, the Micarta on your GEC, which I think you have two of, both Linen and Canvas? have been a temptation since I've seen you post them. I love the Rat 1 for many reason and I just ordered another in the Coyote Brown like you have there.

Some would rather the scales be something other than what they come stock wise but I have no problems with the knife as it comes from the factory. I was just to weak to refuse the aftermarket scales :o.
