Today's choice. An automatic with an interesting story.

The interesting part was the journey that enlightened me about the differences between state laws.
In 2000 I took a motorcycle trip from Seattle to Albuquerque. My buddy wanted to daytrip to Juarez for touristy gifts. There was only one thing I wanted. A switch blade!
So we're walking through the alley market, my friend is looking for cheesy blankets and ponchos. I'm scanning for knives. A stand owner asked me what I was looking for, I told him and was surprised when he told me not to buy one in Mexico. He said they were all garbage. So I left with nothing.
The next day we went to a swap meet in Albuquerque. I was still bummed about the automatic, and of course I gravitated to any knives. My mind was blown when I started finding automatics. More than one stand. I finally had to ask, because in Washington they can't even be sold or owned. I was told that they were legal in every way except carrying. WoW I had no idea.
So I spent a chunk of my gas money and picked up this Top Lock automatic.

Ken Erickson 3 7/8" Serpentine Jack. CPM154 blades with ebony covers. Based off of an old Remington pattern.

Been reaching for this one since the Superbowl. It was a special run. I had to go to their Lynnwood office to get it for $12. Limit of two.

Never owned a 0300/0301 Todd but handled one---simply put if the world as we know it came to an end, the cockroaches would be carrying these when the dust settled. Of course they'd be BIG NUCLEAR COCKROACHES :p

Lol nothing has made me want to buy one of those more than this endorsement! Good stuff, Paul!

And here is my constant companion:

I love the stock stonewashed finish of this Elmax blade! And yes, we still have a Blockbuster Video in my town!
