Thanks man. Just got the Field Grade from Begg and it is amazing... soooooooo smooth and it's only getting better (ss bearings). Definitely on the hunt for a Bodega now! The Ludwig is a 1966 22" bass drum. My dad bought the kit brand new when he was 15.

That explains the shallow depth! I know the old school kits had kick drums that were about 14" deep, more or less. Modern kicks go way deeper now, but you don't get that classic sound. Thanks for the info, buddy!
