EDC III Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

I see it came in. How are you liking it? They look really cool.

It's a beast. And this is the small model.

I have very small hands, narrow, short fingers. The handle is a good fit. Opening the knife - no problem. But releasing the lock - woah - is that one strong lock.

All the reviews I've seen suggest that LionSteel doesn't know how to sharpen a knife. This one arrived fairly sharp. I might give it a go on my Sharpmaker, but not really sure it needs it.

At its price point it's a very good knife, in my opinion. Since it's more expensive cousin in Titanium is well over twice the price, you're getting very high tolerances on a sub-$170 knife.

It's definitely not a tactical knife. It's a heavy-use folder. I'd have no qualms about taking this into the woods as a back-up to a fixed blade.

I'm not sure I like the edge on the blade, and I'd consider sending it to someone to regrind - but for now I'll just use it and see how I like it.

The deep-carry pocket clip is extremely nice.

I will say that the aluminum does get micro scratches fairly easily. As I'm much more of a slipjoint and high carbon kind of guy, a but of character doesn't bother me any.

I have always loved the profile of an AF. Bought the Combat Folder 20 yrs ago. Fits perfect in the deep front pocket of my work pants. Don't miss a pocket clip on this beast. In 2012 I got a gift card from a famous outfitter on the Tulalip rez. Used it to get a newer model with spring assist.

Always regretted selling my Skyline; this new one seems to be an improvement for my last skyline: the detent is better and it flips so much better.
