EDC III Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

Does it flip as well as an 801?

To be honest, no. The 0801 has one of the stiffest detents I've ever felt on a production folder. That and the KVT bearings just fire that blade out like nobody's business!

After carrying an 0801 and an 0551 for months at a time, I wanted to try something different. Smaller, lighter but still built to ZT standards. Enter this bad boy. I got a good deal off the exchange and the rest is history.

It does flip well, though, a little to my surprise considering all the reviews where people complained about poor flipping. Using the same push-button technique as on the 0801 and 0560/0561 I can get this thing to fire out 100% of the time. It was made for Speedsafe deployment, but I'm grateful ZT gave us the option to de-assist it. Mine is pretty smooth, but I've only been flipping it for about a day. I know it can get smoother with some lube and a larger washer on the presentation side.

Hope that answers your q, buddy.

LOL Of course it has! :D

Haha well you know me, brother! And you're partly to blame for this purchase, ya know.

You taunted me with that Insingo blade long enough. I had to try something similar!

Well, you're friggin' welcome. LOL That knife is actually pretty great. Light, slim, and a beautiful (and damn sharp) ELMAX blade. Nothing not to love there! I think you'll enjoy it, brother.

By the way? Those Zings are niiiiiceeee...:D

Oh wow. Beautiful bailey.
saw one just like it for sale and missed it.

Thanks Tmack, I know which one your talking about---I was even tempted but we knife nuts wouldn't buy something similar to what we already have would we:o;):D

My BM 484 Nakamura came back from warranty service and is already hitting on my Spyderco Air, it's their first day together. =)

Thant's a bark river psk. Nice little knife ment to be put in a survival kit but also the perfect size to put in your pocket (especially with a ksf pocket sheath).
I'm really digging that little fixed blade. May I ask who made it?

These are the six EDC knives that sit on my dresser I've been switching between for over a year. Nothing fancy and well used.
