EDC III Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

I love that vintage style Cryo, Erik! Reminds me of the relic'd guitars and basses that Fender puts out!

As for me, I'm also showing some love to an overseas Kershaw. Just came in yesterday and I'm really impressed. KVT flipper for around $35...what?!

Thanks John! I just got my Strobe in the mail today. Very nice knife for the price, however the K-Texture HAS to go. It's actually slippery on my knife. So I either take the inserts off like I have seen some people do or get some in G10.

Man Alex. I think we have very similar taste.

I was just browsing the website, putting together a guardian in stonewashed and black. :)

Looks like an excellent knife.
Do you use the leather, or kydex?

It's a fantastic knife, though it took me a damn long time to reprofile to 30 degrees on my Sharpmaker. The original edge was too blunt for me, but you'll make it look pretty on your Edge Pro (and yes I want to see a new shiny edge when you get it).

I use the leather, but it it's horizontal carry. It's not comfortable for me and my Saddleback belt is too damn thick for the loop, so I throw it in my pocket. I will probably have a taco sheath made for pocket carry, and I might even thin down the scales just a bit. The thickness is nice for a good grip, but it's fairly noticeable in the pocket. Doesn't stop me from throwing the whole rig in my pocket for EDC, and this one gets a lot of EDC time.

You got it man. :) Shiny atom splitting sharp coming up. I saw they offer the kydex, but didn't know which works best. You'll have to let me know when your taco comes in. (then you'll be a grown woman)

Boatload of stuff as usual, from a different daily location.

This combo rig I'd really great. I need to pair up some other knives and lights to have the same done.

Haha I agree! I'm planning to order some when they become readily available. I actually just saw some micarta scales made my Don from Gatorscales. They looked awesome!

As far as the K-Texture, well let's just say I'm running this knife a little classier now ;)

 There ya go!

Hi,

Did you customize your cryo yourself? That looks awesome! I'm trying to decide what to do with mine. Any more pictures?

Thanks!

Thank you, yes I did the stone washing and heat discoloring (not really anodizing) of the screws myself. Here are a couple more pics.

John,I like it better without the scales. How does it feel?

Erik, just ridiculous, gorgeous work on that Cryo. Thanks for sharing some more shots of it.

I have a couple of pics, I have to make up for having pulled a disappearing act from this thread for like, ten pages!!

So, as I had posted, last week my sister got married. I had time after I got dressed to do a quick pocket dump. So, for me, this is an awesome shot that has personal meaning. I can say that I had top class steel on and about my person:

Now, today, I did a quick shot outside, which didn't focus as well as I would have liked due to me not being able to see the screen:

This last weekend while I was over in St. Augustine, I found a small shop and managed to score some new Steel! One of the three knives I got is shown here, the Mini Tuff Lite. What a tremendous little knife. It's just perfect. I also got a regular Tuff Lite, and a vintage Voyager (I'll have to post some pics in the actual pic thread not here, since I'm not going to be carrying it LOL)

Here's a closer look at the other two purchases which are still new to me:

My new Investigator in green, and my new 0551. Handful of Hinderer excellence!

Just bought this today as a people friendly edc for going back to school. My first traditional blade, really liking the feel of this one.
