Where did you buy that Nilte Erik? Can't find anywhere that sells them.
Do you live in lower MN? Cause round here (Northern) there's a descent amount of them and the count was up from what i've heard. Haven't heard a whole lot of people getting a ton though. Finally got 6 over the weekend. Going back out Thurs-Sunday. Hopefully will get more.
Fresh from the post office, a first gen ZT 0550.

Sweet blade! Love all of the Shirogorovs! Now I just need the funds and a place to order one!
Friggin' gorgeous knife Scott! Who makes the better front flipper? Thorburn or Bull?
Shiro's a fantastic knife.... gotta love me some M390!

Happy Birthday!
I got the Nilte off the exchange here. They didn't make very many of them, there was a Finnish online retailer that had one in stock a while back. I haven't seen any US retailers with them.
I live around the Twin Cities. I did see 4 or 5 grouse when I was hiking up in Northern MN a couple weeks ago.
Nice knife and a great pic Kirby!
I am carrying the KaBar Coppersmith Single Blade Trapper today.

Justifying it is the big problem for me, because I got most of the money to buy one. I'm from the Netherlands so looking for a place in Europe to get one. Or I have to pay loads of shipping and import taxes..There are a fair number of places to get them honestly as long as you look close enough. The trick is finding the right one, which is always a long journey. I finally got this one and I'm very happy with it.
In regards to the money...well that one's harder. Not gonna lie, took me quite a while to justify this one to myself, and I actually paid a very reaonble price for it.
M390 is my favorite stainless right now for sure. RWL34 is following it up, and S110V is back in 3rd.

Have to agree and speaking of RWL34 that's the blade steel on my Small Warlock.
Alright thanks for the tip. I'll keep looking for shirogorovs in Europe as I do now. Found a dealer in Europe with some nice prices. PM me if you want the link. I will just check forums as well , and maybe I'll own one in no time!Ah, yeah that's going to be tough. Honestly I don't know much about retailers in Europe, but you shouldn't worry too much about the Shiro if you can find one at a reasonable price and location. They are excellent knives, and I have 2 (3rd on the way) now, and I only got my 95T a little over a month ago I think, and that was the first one. So in maybe just over a month I went from not owning any Shiros to owning 3, and I would do it again.
The only slight issue is you should try and find the newest Shiro in terms of generation you can. Some of the older generations have some minor issues, but they have worked pretty much all of those out in the newer generations.
