EDC III Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

I really like it, I had the SR-1A for a while but decided it was a little to wide in the pocket for me. I figured this one would be just about perfect and so far it has been. It also came with a near mirror edge from the factory. I may just have to pick up the titanium version at some point.

That, my friend, is a full serrated blade. I think all you've seen are combo edges or partially serrated blades. Most people prefer either a full serrated or a plain edge. Combo or partially serrated doesn't really do anything well, IMHO.

I do spend a lot of time looking at, if my woman was still around, knife porn. The knife still looks 80% serrated to my eyes, though I'll digress to your expertise. I always assumed a fully serrated knife would mirror the blade of a steak knife, all the way to the tip. Benchmade is on my shopping list, thoug I has been less than a week sense I received my first ZT knife (0561) and I'm already looking at after market scales... LOL. Money would be better spent on a new knife IMHO, I like the 'dark earth', remindes me of an X-18, to which I blame this website for showing me its existence! Not to mention Chris Reeve! Ahh, all I have to do is think about those two and I feel better about buying my ZT, though it cuts both ways... the money I saved, I can easily get some custom scales... Oh how the id justifies. . Nice to meet you.

IMO if the serrations were along the hole blade it would weaken the tip.

Makes sense to me, removal of material would indeed suggest a weekining of its structure with the assumption that the rest of the blade remained unadulterated, (IE no reinforcements etc) as seems the case. I think a strong steel would not be Hinderered (pun) by 100% serrations.
