That soup looks good, especially with how cold it's been around here lately. It got bellow 0 for the first time in a long while last night. Hey, it's warmer today though, almost 15 outside! :rolleyes:

Thanks brother, I appreciate the well wishes. Yeah Georgia is hitting single digits with wind chill but it's not as bad as the really cold places in the nation.

It uuhh...well, it's 56 here tonight, and I'm freezing. We're just not cut out for cold weather around here. Hell, it dips into the sixties, it becomes a Han Solo Convention around here*.

I'ts discontinued, I had really hard time to find precisely this model... I had few cancellations from sites I purchased the knife,
but turned out they didn't listed it as "out of stock"... The model with the flipper and the one with the thumbstud but half-serrated are easy to find.
I found it in a local store, paid about $15 more than cheapest online price, but it's mine now and I'm holding on to it... :D
After I got two production Diskins, I'll think about a real custom-one...
Volcan is really small knife, not like I care, I love it, but I have to mention it... If it was the same size as the Kershaw Strobe, it would be probably one of my very favorites...

Man my folks got it bad. It's only a matter of time before I get it. Who knows? Maybe I'll get lucky, but it's doubtful since I work with my dad.

This is a beautiful knife, and you're going to laugh, but after seeing this pic, it drove me to go find and snap up a Kershaw Strobe. I had played around with one at a shop near here, and I love Diskin's design philosophy, and loved the beautiful flipping action. But the brick-and-mortar price was higher than I was comfortable with, so I passed. But this reminded me of it, and so I just had too grab one up. My bud John had one, and I remember him saying he enjoyed it. Good enough for me!

The strobe is outstanding EDC knife! It's not small, it's not huge, it seats very comfortable in my fairly large hands, it's comfortable in the pocket, deep carry clip is perfectly done - no drag when you pull the knife, a small lanyard goes just fine in the clip.
Flat grind, suitable for great slicing, good pointy tip for SD if you ever have to use it that way, flipper makes nice guard for any hold, KVT action is outstanding... Very capable knife.
I don't like much flippers but it's just me, the design worth every penny.

For me the only drawback is the Chinese steel, I find it soft for what I'm doing with the knife, but I might send it to the old country to have a better steel blade fitted in it, maybe another wave implant with a thumb-ring or so, I don't know...
I ordered some CF scales from Gator Scales, still waiting for those... When they come it'll be not only functional but also pretty... :D

Poceh, outstanding!!! I just found a great deal on one at Extra Big Auction uhhh...Y, and it'll be on its way tomorrow. I would love to see a picture of those CF scales when you get yours in, I would sincerely appreciate it. I've a feeling I'll be giving GatorScales business myself!! I sit at a desk all day, so this knife will make a great little EDC (added to a rotation of pretty heavy hitters):

This pic was from my relaxation time on New Year's Day when I was getting everyone ready for a sharp 2015! I love expensive knives, but I also really love inexpensive knives which are well made. Can't wait to get it!! So, thanks again for your inspiration my friend. :thumbup:
