I told myself I wouldn't flip this brand new 42 Springer, but it's my only 4x right now. I can't resist! Plus I have a even more rare 41m on the way, so I might as well just stop being a prissy, and flip them.

Oh and that w2 thinger is ok too ;)

Nice fixed.

The younger Hanson is working on something for me at the moment.

It was definitely very very deep. But it seems to be doing ok. Still sore.

Hopefully you don't need to make a hospital visit for it. I'm sure you're used to dealing with cuts, but I still hope it doesn't get infected on you. Would not be a fun time I'm sure.

On a brighter note, that 42 seems like it's looking even better than when you first showed it! Must have been rejuvenated after it sucked some blood ;)

I probably should have. But it's liking ok. Bruised all inside the stab wound. The exact width of the 42, so it went in far enough to get to almost the widest part.

Was squirting 3" when I took off the paper towel and pushed where the blood was pooling up under my skin.
Never had that happen. Was scary.

Yeah, that really does not sound good at all. Just be careful man. At least as much as you can...knowing you...
I will say that it doesn't sound like you hit anything vital, which is very good. There are a LOT of veins and a couple major arteries in the legs, and people tend to forget that. One of my cousins almost died when he was hit by a fragment of metal from a lawn mower than hit a hidden stone. Cut WAY too close to the artery in his leg and if he hadn't been with someone else who handled the bleeding he probably wouldn't have made it to the hospital before passing out, and then probably bleeding out completely.

Kind of reminds you how "squishy and soft" people are when stuff like that happens. The metal fragment they pulled from his leg in surgery was less than an inch wide.

Knee finally back to normal size after surgery:thumbup: flippers to keep me company :D

ACL?
Hope your recocery is going well.
Be careful and don't over do it.
I had ACL reconstuction and then, near the end of my recovery period, I snapped my knee cap in half.
Pow!
It sounded just like that....Pow!
It was very loud and very painful.

Day off today. I went through a couple different carry combos but finally settled on... all Spyderco!

Hope you're all healed up fast man! At least you've got 2 very nice knives to keep you company right ;)

Knee surgery sucks. When I was in high school they kept pushing for me to get it done, but I'll take some mild daily discomfort over a 50/50 chance of it getting way worse, which were my prospects at the time.

Thanks!
My prospects are about the same :) But I've been dealing with the pain now for 12 years, and have had to actively manage the pain for the last 6 so I figured it was time to do something about it.

It was definitely very very deep. But it seems to be doing ok. Still sore.

Yeah brother, that one looked like a serious puncture! You also need to heal up quickly! Rest, Ice, Elevation and Compression are you best friends!

My original diagnosis was the rubbing of cartilage from my knee cap, and floating cartilage that had broken off and was floating around the joint. When the DR got in there, it was actually the cartilage from my femur had warn down to about 2mm thick (normal adults have about 7mm) and there was floating bits causing discomfort and grinding. He said he had to sculpt out a new tract for my cap to follow and I should make a full recovery

Still playing with these :D

They're both beauts! Congrats, man

Thanks Brutha'

For the most part the ergos are great, if you really have to bear down the jimping on the sides of the strap lock can dig in a bit.

Congrats on landing the TILT Scott!

I am carrying a Kershaw Blur and SAK Cadet. Pockets are getting a little worn I guess...

Thanks Erik. That bocket looks like many of mine :D

Hope you are feeling better soon

Decided to go Southern European today. What a lightweight and a terrific slicer. For what I paid for it in my opinion looks nice too.
