What's with the craze over these slip joint knives? I can't even find them for sale anywhere.

The answer is because they're so sweet (and because they bring you back to the roots of pocket knives - that's pretty cool, too). And the thing is, most guys who carry traditionals also carry modern and "tactical" knives - it's the Ying to your Yang, brother - you should give 'em a try. Pretty Sure KnivesShipFree has some available (certain models and anything in ivory does sell out fast, though!). Gunstock Jack has 'em as well. They're out there, just gotta search for them.

The little Wenger Esquire is truly every day carry. The folder varies. Today, it's the ZT 0562.
 
I wanted to post this for my Dad, this was his edc when he was in the military and at home. Its the one and only knife that he had. He made this sheath also in the late 60's
He passed away 5 years ago today at 61. Ive wore his wedding ring on my right hand ever since.
