pocket sword known as the ti-lite 6, six nasty inches of unevenly ground cts xhp. its an utter disappointment considering its cost... pb is down so no pic:grumpy:

I've been curious for a while now about the smaller knife in that picture. Been waiting for weeks for you to post it again so that it's relevant enough to ask what it is!

Hi!

if you mean this little guy, it's one of the best bang for your buck folders in the entire market nowadays, IMO. SRM 6040 folder

For less than $8, you've got nice grippy scales, excellently heat treated 8Cr13MoV, solid lockup and a thin super sharp blade, with a very nice profile and shape

And it's got an extraordinary (removable) pocket clip. Lanyard hole included, wide and sensibly placed
Best of all, and reason I decided to try it out, it weighs 30 grams (1.1 oz.).

Even with the Chinese "hate" recently overflowing the internet forums, I've gotta recommend this SanRenMu above all other similar offerings, but son't post it much because of the general opinion about the brand on this forum

Thanks Dan, Yes I just broke down and ordered new. Its the model with Carbon Fiber inlays rather than Micarta. I could do without the blue hardware but I may just break out the polishing compound and remedy that situation :-) I have to say it's pretty close to the perfect folder for me for EDC. When I am out in the field a larger knife is a much better option but for day to day it's hard to beat.

Nice! I've noticed the CF inlays on the newer models is slightly a tint of more grey it seems which I actually prefer.

Indeed I did mean that little guy! I saw it quite a while ago and just never could figure it out. Unfortunately, some Chinese companies do deserve a little hate for the blatant copies they produce. However, if the design is original I can still appreciate it. I actually purchased a "SRM 7010LUQ-SW" (so many numbers there...) in the recent past and loved. A very small, but still useful knife that I like to carry as my cheap spare. The black stonewash finish is very classy too (minus the annoying graphics on it).

If yours is anything like the other little SRM I have, I'm sure I'd love it. The only thing I question on it is the clip: is there a deep carry option available? If not, it seems like a tiny price to pay for such a good looking knife.

In any case, thanks for the response! And in keeping with the thread, I have my Slysz bowie on me today. It's hard to kick the 25 out of the pocket, but the Slysz is just so pretty...
