Great combos. I really like how you package. I should have you pick out my daily wardrobe. [emoji12]. Got a couple hundred knives (though most are RR/Colts), and a couple dozen handguns to pair. I finally started to add a light to EDC. I've always kept a little button battery light on the keychain. But started to think about how much I actually use it and wish I had more light. So picked up the little copper AAA Maratac that caught my eye. And have a larger copper/CF Lumintop Prince on order.

Today's combo.

Some great blades lately, guys. Y'all make me wish I had more disposable income.

Here's what I'm ending my night with:

This TOPS Mini Scandi. I finally got around to solving some problems that in my opinion were in this knife. First, compared to the blade lenght there was not enough handle. I ground away some material from the front of the handle and tang, so moving the grip slightly forward. I still could do more, but now this will do, the handle is for me a 3 1/2 finger size now. I added an extension to the handle by pushing a folded piece of paracord throught the lanyard hole and making couple of knots.

There was no support for the thumb to push against (when unsheathing the knife) in the sheath so I put a zip tie through one of the holes and also added a piece of cord to secure the knife. I could add still another zip tie and make the thub support more solid. I carry this mostly in my pocket and the cord also acts as a statick cord.

Now the knife with a fine blade but some problems with ergonomics and sheath is good pocket sized EDC fixed blade. :)

By the way, I also have it's larger cousin, the Scandi Trekker and have done some of the same mods, grinding the tang and handle and so moving the grip forward. It also solved the problem with the grip, it fits my hand better now. The changes were small in size but important still.

You should take a look at TnC flashlights, they are grade A. They have some smaller sized pocket lights in addition to larger ones.

Thanks Blues. I've been admiring that light in your pics too. Of course I've lusted over that knife many times too.
