The detents on Hinderers have improved immensely. Almost to the point where I can't open my new XM-24 by the thumb studs.

I don't have any experienced with the old ones, but I have a Gen 4, xm-18 spanto, fatty harpoon and the MP-1, ALL OF THEM FLIP so smooth, the MP-1 is probably the best, I like Hinderers flippers more than ZT KVT, flips much more smooth, and great detent

Use the stud and the flipper tab simultaneously and it will open in a very natural and controlled manner.
