As advised by M. Koster, I bump this thread.

Did you guys tought more about this?

I did, and I had a little help, unintentionally, from other members.

I followed a few links and got on a thread about Dankuras, kerambits by Dan Koster.

I realized that the overall shape, without the ring, was a lot like what I had in mind.

Now, put a bilton blade on it and a chiruwa handle and it looks great. Wouldn't you like to EDC a HI blade?

So a chiruwa bilton with a slightly larger, slimmer handle? Mabe a Sgt. K M-43 shape? (egg cross section)

i have thought about since. i've drawn a few more, it's essentially become a mini pen knife. it has to have the forward weight typically characteristic of the khukri. i don't really see the point of bending a small knife forward, it just becomes unwieldy. a big belly can skin and chop, near the grip somethin straight or recurved can perform finer work, push cuts, & slicing. that's what i'm goin for. i have two main designs, here's a crummy render until i can scan the real drawings. it's half pen knife, half ranger. also a bit of caravaggio (all diagonals are parallel). the clip's too steep but that's essentially it. it's 10" overall, 5" blade.

Cool designs  What about if you made the blades shaped more like a UBE . That add more slicing ability to it .

Right now I have a CRKT Plan B that is 6.75" OAL (overall lenght), I will eventually get an Ontario Rat-3 that is 7.8" OAL. I just tought it would be great to have a small khuk as a EDC. That recurve blade would cut like a hawkbill, with HI quality and look.

dont mix a horn handle with a kydex sheath, sounds gross. Use leather .
Kydex would be ok with other handle materials.

Thanks Strobengh .. I was confused by all sort of "Deal" in HI Furums .. :o .. I thought EDC it is another new type of "Deal"!

BTW .. it seems all this while I already have my choice of EDC .. most of the time I have my Kagas Katne with me .. sometimes I switch it with Bilton!

I guess the important criteria in EDC is the blade length which is supposed to be about 3.5" and suppose to be legally caried in public in most countries nowadays. Kagas Katne blade length is about 3.5" while Bilton is slightly longer by an inch.

Some of the drawings remind me of the Kershaw Echo, a 4" bladed FB that can be had for $40 or less. I bought one for carry on my LBE when I was at 1-5 INF.
