EDC knife combinations

I carry these guys:

I used the scissors to cut zip ties at work today. The tweezers got some use picking up fragile objects, too. The 309 gets to cut things because the blade on the classic is cumbersome on a key chain. The big blade on the 309 gets reserved for food if the need ever arises. I love just clutching the 309 in my hand.

One knife is usually all I need, but if I'm wearing jeans and my knife is too large for a change pocket, I'll throw a little multi-tool in there as a backup.

I guess I qualify as a multiple knife carrier. Like many others I have a 58 mm Victorinox on my keychain. Mine is a green Signature Lite. In my book bag, which is almost always where I am, is a Victorinox SwissTool RS. In my laptop bag is a Victorinox Fieldmaster.

But on my person during the work week I usually just have one knife in my pocket. When I am wearing jeans I always have the Peanut in the watch pocket and some other traditional in a front pocket.

I always carry 3 actually... My Swisstool X, 'zaan, and dads old Queen peanut in the watch pocket although that is mostly for sentimental purposes.

I have to admit to being a two knife man.

My Vic classic is in a keyring sheath, so I can't leave home without it. In my pocket is my peanut. That combo handles about 98% of what I need. Someitmes when going fishing or canoeing, I'll augment that with either an Opinel number 8 or a small sheath knife like a Buck 102 woodsman or a small puuko. I guess then you could say I'm a three knife man.

Carl.

I don't consider them a knife but since some of you guys are including multi-tools I'll add to my first post that I carry a Leatherman Juice in a sheath on my belt every day -- either a C2 or a CS4. Lately it has been the CS4:

And while I'm at it, I've already changed out the Powderhorn I carried yesterday to this Schrade Fire & Ice Trapper this morning.

Who knows (not me for sure) what Traditional Slip Joint I'll be carrying tomorrow.:) That's what makes this knife thing fun!!

Is that one of the GEC made Schrades?

Yes it is. These knives were made by GEC in 2007 and are some of the finest if not the finest knives I've seen come from GEC. They have ringed bolsters and match strike nail nicks. GEC was a young company when they made these and it's my opibion they went the extra mile to ensure that these knives made on contract for Taylor Brands Knives (owners of the Schrade name) and branded with the Schrade name were well finished and fitted. I have a couple of them and intend to buy a couple/three more. The quality of these knives is first rate. I've never seen a commercially made knife of better quality, fit, finish, etc..

I keep a large Buck Vantage clipped to the chest pocket of my work coat, it's easier to use out in the cold while wearing gloves. My usual EDC is a Case CV peanut, and it does 98% of my cutting.

I (almost) always carry 1 clip knife and 1 traditional.
Today it's:

I always carry at least two, a hard use locking folder and a traditional for lighter more utilitarian jobs including foor prep, and the traditional is more for showing off because they are my passion....
