EDC knife for a stroke survivor

Hey now Benchmade isn't the only kid on the block who does ambidextrous!

Love my Spyderco Sage 3 (G10, I like the blue) and Manix 2. And actually, one of my first knives ever continues to be one of my favorites: CRKT 4514 Grant Hawk design with the bolt lock (long discontinued but I actually think there is at least one still in stock somewhere, found it in a google not too long ago). All operate like an Axis lock, have reversible pocket clips, and are within your price range. Just to mix things up a bit!

WOW, lots of GREAT suggestions. I will probably get him a Maddox which he can use "right now" and a folder later. I think the Maddox will help him mentally by allowing him to cut his own food--maybe get a little more feeling of independence. It looks like an axis lock is at the top of the list for later. I am humbled by the amount of help I have been given. All I can say is THANKS!, again.
