EDC Knife/s Recommendation

It's a pity that you don't care for Spyderco. The Sage 1 and Caly 3 CF are seriously good within your budget. The Sage 2 is a bit over your budget but in essence a "Sebenza for the rest of us".

If you like Benchmades and assists, then try the Nitrous Stryker or Mini Stryker. I mostly EDC a few customs knives in the 400.00 range and like the Stryker very much. I got mine on this forum lightly used for 70.00 shipped.:)

Also, it depends on your co workers. I've converted half the guys in my shop to carrying a knife every day, but it you are around a bunch of sheple, then the assist really fires the blade on the Nortous and draws looks.

i have a 913 nitrous stryker. they are plagued with problems. mine is super hard to open and has a badly off centered blade. if you want an axis assist they are currently only offered in the 580 barrage and the 585 mini barrage. both are good knives. but for their size they are a bit heavy.

How bout a fixed blade?
Rat Cutlery Izula.

Also Check out the custom makers, they can fix you up a nice small fixed blade for under 100. Itll be nicer than almost all production knives.

Yours is plagued with problems. Mine is not, and neither, I think, are those belonging to others who have recommended them.

You should send yours back, if it's that bad, and get a replacement.

You can't go wrong with a Benchmade Barrage, assisted Axis, great knife I love mine but I still carry my Benchmade Griptillian more then any other knife I have. The BM 551 Griptillian is just a great EDC knife.

The ZT0350 that you are already considering is excellent.

I will also recommend the Kershaw RAM. The flipper works FASTER than most AO's, and you also get the amazing Hawk-lock (very similar to AXIS lock).

I love the Benchmade Rukus....carry the small one in the left pocket as my EDC blade and his big brother in the right pocket as my tactical defensive blade.
