I would like to know a great EDC knife. I've heard "just ccw a handgun" and the such, but there are handgun free zones in my state, and hey, ammo ain't infinite like in the movies or videogames. I just want a good sturdy knife that isn't longer than 4 inches (my states laws) and is good for self defense. Oh, and easily concealed is a must, and I would love if it's spring assisted. Absolutely adore those things. Please don't give me any criticism, I just want to know a good knife. Also please don't tell me your knife, just cause it's your knife, I want to know the legitimate best. Thanks!

ZT 0303 with all that ridiculous camo on the blade. It's everything you want:

Sturdy
3.75" blade
Assisted opening
"Concealable"
I don't own one.

There are a number of good EDC knives... how much are you willing to spend?

There are so many that would do the job... I vote for an Emerson CQC-something with wave. find one you like. You really do have to handle them to see what fits.

I love the wave, get the hang of that and you don't need springs or flippers. For a waved frame lock the ZT 0620 / 0630 are amazingly well built for the price.

Whatever you choose just make sure it's a great utility blade most of all, because you'll probably need to cut stuff every day but hopefully never need it for a self defense role.
I am not criticizing you or anything, just presenting some food for thought.

Go look at the ZT line, they have A.O. and flippers. Believe it or not, some of the flippers are just as fast as a A.O.

You aren't looking for an EDC knife, you are looking for a tactical self-defense knife. Your title is misleading people, perhaps if you changed it you may get more tactical based recommendations.

Not sure if tactical advice goes here, but EDC usually means everyday carry to cut open packages, slice paper, chop wood, etc.

I don't think EDC technically specifies a utilitarian blade, but I would wager that it's what comes to mind for most people.

Agreed, that's why I responded to his content and questions, not his title.

But yes, the title should be changed to something regarding a defensive folder.

There is no legitimate best. There are hundreds and hundreds of good folding knives. A thin stocked, super slicy ground S90V bladed folder will be great at cutting lots and lots of forgiving material but is a poor choice for a work or camp knife. An overbuilt 3V fixed blade may lean toward bombproof damage resistant performance and sacrifice pure cuttimg ability. Get it?

You're already doing a great thing and giving your decision mixed general criteria to be met.

My two recommendations are CRK Lg. Inkosi. And Spyderco Paramilitary 2.
