Recommendation? EDC Knife

I would like to know a great EDC knife. I've heard "just ccw a handgun" and the such, but there are handgun free zones in my state, and hey, ammo ain't infinite like in the movies or videogames. I just want a good sturdy knife that isn't longer than 4 inches (my states laws) and is good for self defense. Oh, and easily concealed is a must, and I would love if it's spring assisted. Absolutely adore those things. Please don't give me any criticism, I just want to know a good knife. Also please don't tell me your knife, just cause it's your knife, I want to know the legitimate best. Thanks!
For a self defense folder, that falls within most states restriction (not double edged) an Americanized Tanto > everything else. Snap cuts are devistating.

Do more research and find a knife you like. There are no best knife and since all your post are asking about a edc reading more might help you out. Find what YOU like and roll with it.

well, if a fixed blade is not an option, and you want a quick, sturdy, concealable, Assisted Opening knife, then my recommendation for you is the Cold Steel Swift, or the Swift 2.

it has an excellent grind for slicing and normal cutting tasks, just under 4 inches, opens super fast, has a swedge to increase piercing ability, the strongest locking mechanism in the world...

and the clip is wide and makes it carry nice, concealed, while still being easy to access and quick to deploy

What kinda neighborhood does a 15 year old kid live in that requires him to continue to ask for “self defense type” knives? Get yourself a Swiss Army Knife, some good Nikes and save your parents the legal fees.

I like that Swift;just wish it wasn’t a back lock. Not a fan. But everything else about it is nice.
