I love this knife. It's always in my pocket. It's been everywhere from LA to NYC to Paris. I can't get over how usable it is for most of the tasks I do. This morning it opened a fresh container of Starbucks French Roast...

No matter what else I carry, this Ladybug is with me.

The ladybugs are sweet wee knives, iv got a few of them but im a Jester man my self :p:thumbup:

i carry two when working with the USMS.....not to many of knife owners now-a-days can say they carry their knives at 37,000 feet daily, and even fewer that say they used them at 37k ft...

but i can.

A carry a Co-Pilot as my primary EDC because of work restrictions.

That Lady-Bug looks even better because of a more versatile blade profile (in my opinion...only).

You are right-they are a perfect daily companion for most of what an EDC get used for.

Langston,

Great choice and thanks for your service! I'm very interested in why you picked the LBK (and a backup LBK) as your carry choice. Is it blade length restrictions, ease of carry, weight or something else?

I have a 2nd LBK3 that is also with me most of the time but it's the FRN version and rides on my keychain. fish

i carry this little monster because of its size. I am around anywhere between 60-120 federal inmates. from HIMAX to camp level, for anywhere between 1 to 14 hours and being on the same plane with them and in many cases bumping their shoulders with my hips a knife in my pocket on a clip in a HUGE no no

i carry one in each front pocket dummy corded to me....i used to carry a larger blade(delica) but i really didnt like to advertise to the inmates i was carrying a blade, and it was a security issue. so i retired the big blades in favor of the the smaller and in many circumstances more versitile ladybug. I can use it more freely without them being noticed and the pack easy in the pocket.

really a damn good edc that does what most mortals will need it for.

I read a comment from Sal that the LBK is carried but many in the military (especially pilots). It's chosen because the weight and size lends to shirt pocket carry...pretty handy when you're sitting down. I agree with your comments regarding discrete carry and "usability". Most of my knife tasks can be done by "palming" the handle and extending my index finger along the top of the blade...very discrete. Also, Fred Perrin (French self-defense guy) often talks about the utility of small blades.

Here's my typical weekday pocket dump...

SS LBK3, FRN LBK3 (with keys), SpacePen, Zebra 301 gel.

I have been EDCing an Orange Ladybug PE since they first came out and love it. Very handy for routine cutting. I have been debating picking up a SS handled one and sending it to Tom Krein for a full flat regrind.
