EDC Necker in CPM-154

I had a local guy contact me about 2 months ago to build a project he had been designing. He wanted a small necker he could carry around his work to use for opening boxes and various other things. This is his design, which was slightly tweeked for comforts sake while I was building it. Over the weeks I sent him progress pictures through every step of its construction.

Specs:

Steel: 0.100" CPM-154
OAL: 4"
Cutting edge 1.75"
400g Hand satin finish

This was a fun project and my first real customer order. I met up with him in person last night and delivered the knife to him and he was extremely happy with it. This morning I got an email from him with a picture of the lanyard he has set up for it.

This also debuts my 2nd Maker's Mark image. I plan on using this on all my small neckers and folder blades in the future!

That blade looks really sweet! So I guess I'll have a 'rare' first generation Wolff with the 'original' maker's mark, right? :)

Haha no I didn't jonny... but with this thin stainless kicking around I'm definitely going to develop my own ultralight design :thumbup: Thanks!
 
Hey all. I'm the mystery "customer" here and this is in fact the reason I joined BF - to find a maker to make this design. Working with John was great, and I was happy to find a local maker with the turnaround time he was able to provide. The knife turned out quite well and it's probably not leaving my neck for quite a while.

Very cool,
Wolffie as I like to call him is a hell of a great guy and is a hard working up and coming maker. So glad to hear you're happy with your necker. You did a good job on the design and Jonathan brought it to life nicely!
