As you can see in the one pic, this is a "3 finger" type grip. It's shaving sharp and will easily take care of any EDC needs, or a small hunter.

Thanks for looking.

This blade makes me weak. I wonder if it could be fitted for kydex without too much trouble?

I have 2 of Whit's knives. He makes a good knife for a good price. Also, he's a nice guy to deal with. He made the knife in my avatar. Hope you like your new knife. I started to buy it but I just put 2 kids in college.

Ryan, I just got my knife rfom the post office. It is heaven sent at just the right time to cheer me up. You see, I was fired yesterday under questionable tactics and ethics at 1145am. It knocked me backwards for the rest of the day and even still I'm reeling.

You knife feels great in my hand and has no hard edges or edges like a mass produced knife might.

It does a lot to make me feel better ! A question tho, being O-1 steel that looks like stainless to me, how should I care for it best?

Thanks again for bringing my spirits up. I need it just now!

a223cat,

If I may, Congratulations on your first custom!. And a nice one it is at that. You will find the quality in a custom knife very hard to beat. 0-1 is one of my favorite hi-carbon steels. Caring for it is a cinch and as easy as 1-2-3. After each use:
(1) Hand wash it immediately with clean water and soap.
(2) Hand dry it immediately with clean cotton towel or paper towel.
(3) Lightly oil it immediately with your favorite tool oil or CRC, WD-40, etc.

I have done this with a good handful of my Custom knives with 0-1 and other hi-carbon steels over the decades and my knives kept there original luster for many years. Although sooner or later you will inherit a nice honest patina and don't be afraid of it because it will add a character to your great little cutter that will be all its own! ;)

Incidentally, I am sorry to hear about your job. Concentrate on 'turning lemons into lemon-aid', to use one of my old grandmothers adages. God has put you where you are now for a reason, I am sure this means there is a better opportunity out there very close by than what you just had(I speak from experience:) ) .. Good Luck in your new opportunities!

Many Blessings
