EDC Pic thread. Post em up!

Been comparing the new edc to my edc2. Obviously the new new one is a better slicer but I’ve found the edc2 whittles wood better it seems to me. Both handles are legendary feel in hand. Looks like the new handles are a tiny bit thinner but haven’t measured to be sure. FK3 is also new to me and got the blue torx put onIMG_3517.jpeg

I’m really liking everyone’s pictures. Some I see pic same scales for all which is nice. I on the other hand get all different ones. I should probably do a set of something.
Yeah I’m boring when it comes to handle scales. Prefer dark scales and nothing overly bright and flashy. I wanna see ebonite scales in person. Did they make those for the FK2?

Check out how much darker this un buffed VIP has gotten in 4 days. I have not added any mineral oil or anything to darken the Micarta. I have just carried it everyday. The EDC just disappears in my pocket until I need to cut something. Or until I get the urge to fondle it. IMG_6629.jpegIMG_6692.jpeg

Quite a change in 4 days!! Reminds me of new buffed, crusty, but yours is more brown! It will be interesting to watch everyone's develop and change with use and time! 🙂

It’s really cool how this VIP has so much character. Each one is unique. It has quickly become one of my top 2 favorite Micarta’s. Up there with ECAM.

That certainly has darkened quite a bit in 4 days and added quite a bit of character, pretty cool. I’m afraid to ask what’s all over your hands though when you fondle it to make such a change haha 🙈

Oh you know. The usual jergens. Haha.
Just kidding. I think it’s just the Un buffed being so bare. Kinda like buffed has a bit of a protective layer or something. Maybe just exposure to light and air along with the oils from my hands.

You can see the complete fiber saturation and the translucency that Westinghouse was known for. This isn't Westinghouse, but it practically is. International Paper bought not just the brand, but the presses and process. It's not a pulltrusion like a lot of the current production today, it was made on an actual press, without a lot of regrind flour and other filler. Just clean properly produced phenolic, before the bean counters and EPA got to it.

I got home from the range and found out I was graced by Santa and his brown sled. It's official, my first CPK. I was unsure about the double red scales. I love them. I already inquired about a second CPK. A nice UF2. Looking at three and four too. What have I gotten myself into?
Forgive the quick phone pics. I don't mess with lights and composition much anymore.
