I'm just calling it the 3-inch EDC. If you want to differentiate it from the other versions, I hope this is the final version, the 2020 or final version.

All the other numbers were confusing because it might imply a length where no length is implied.

A few EDC2s ... there's been one of these on my hip more days than not since my first and is my most used CPK model overall.

pic#1 is unbuffed burlap ... pic #2 is unbuffed od micarta & unbuffed natural micarta ... pics #3 & 4 is a satin blade with acid washed flats and a set of koa wood scales Tony aka TRfromMT made.

That last one with the wood shines like a gemstone!!!🤩

ETA: the top two aren't too shabby either!! 😄

Did you need to touch it up much while working on the deer? I ordered a custom hunting knife couple months back but I still plan on giving my EDC a workout.
I can say that the koa handled EDC 2 I posted above has been on many hunting trips the last few years. Two years ago I field dressed 2 whitetails and it was good to go after a couple minutes with a ceramic steel and a basswood strop with diamond spray. I didn't have to touch the edge during use, I only touched it up after so it would be ready if our luck continued.

Last year it field dressed 3 whitetails and skinned 2 of the three and I only refreshed the edge on a Spyderco double stuff pocket stone between skinning the deer. I caped out the third and switched to a better option for that detailed work.

It's a little different than my usual hunting knives ... but it just works and has earned it's way into that role along side my dedicated hunters, skinners, and caping blades. The handle design lends it to long use with no hand fatigue and D3V ... well nuff said.

Plus it comes in pretty handy around deer camp for any and everything that comes up. They are a true workhorse.
