EDC Prybars

I carry a pocketwrench II with my Swisschamp in the Vic cordura pouch. The pocketwrench fits behind the Swisschamp.

Of course I'll upgrade to a prybaby soon :D

I wonder if this Gerber sharpening stone would work as a makeshift prybar? I would unscrew the leather and just put a splitring through the hole.

You know, I had the same thought. Great minds think alike. :)

I carry a little Stanely pry bar in my bunker pocket at work. About maybe 7 inches long 3/4 wide. It works very well on sliding the latch on key in the knob type locks found in office buildings, even works to widen the gap on tight doors to get at the latch. Just the ticket when you don't want to destroy a lot of doors, such as investigating oders or getting into the elevator room etc.

Okay, what's a "bunker pocket?"

Is that a sharpening stone on one side?
Yes. Medium grit DMT Diamond stone.

I'm still after another old school Prybaby with red G10 and a Fine DMT stone.

I carry a 7" Bug Out Bar in my back pocket all the time. I find it rather useful at times, though I don't use it every day. Still, it's so nicely made it has become a permanent part of my EDC.

Yea they will but they are about 3/8 inch thick and designed to be used as an inpromptu splitting tool /wedge so it might be hard to use it as a pry bar.

I carry a 48" crowbar($15.00 at a "Harbor Freight" store) in the back of my car. My wife's car has a 24" crowbar($4.00 at "Wal-Mart") in it. I just got the big one, haven't used it yet. The little one I have used a bunch, but I have had it for 10 years or so.

Carry one of Peter's mini prybabies in my Maxpedition Pygmy Falcon EDC. The PryBar is not "on" me everyday, but the bag is with me all the time. I even have a spot for this PryBar in my new Travel case for all of my goodies that I carry with me on my business trips.

David,

Now I have to know. What is your new Travel case? Got a make and model, or a picture?

I made one ten years ago by hacking off the pointed end of a a stout 69 cent bottle opener and drilling a hole in it for my keyring. Smoothed the edges with a dremel and there you are. Poormans version. I'm cheap.

I do wear a Tissot T-Touch though.
