EDC recommendation for a newbie?

Thanks for sharing all the recommendations and experiences guys.

After carrying my ZT0350 for a few days I'm still really liking it. Its solid like a rock, there is no type of play or looseness in the knife at all, anywhere. My only complaint is I don't like the blade angles, they're too obtuse. Thats an easy fix though!

Spyderco's are fairly priced and built very well, my only beef with them is the hole in the blade. Never heard a complaint about spyderco that I can think of. Just wish they had thumb studs instead of holes, I don't think I could ever get used to opening with the hole, it doesn't feel right in my hand, therefore I won't consider them, at this point.

spyderco centofante 3 is light as air and has a fantastic blade. definitely a popular and affordable edc with high quality steel.

sage 1 as others mentioned if you want a more premium/elegant handle material

for an edc knife, i think you'll do well to go with the skyline. current steel i think is 14c28n so it should be pretty good. kershaw quality is superb by the way. although if you do want to get fancy you could get the kershaw skyline in damascus

I haven't owned many knives, mostly SAK, Leatherman and Spyderco.
I wanted a premium knife, based on most people here loving Chris Reeve, I bought 2, Lg Seb and Umnumzaan. I really like both, zaan being favored.
They are worth the price.
