EDC Rotation - How often?

I always carry my knife in the same place; actually to be more accurate it would be the same 2 places. 99% of the time it is in my right front pocket. 1% it is IWB. I always IWB it in the same place. I don't think of my knives as self defense weapons, I think of them as tools.

Well...thanks for taking every single word out of my mouth.

I sold all the knifes that I don't use, and I edc my multitool and mini manix EVERYDAY, at work and play.

I rotate to renew the bond with my blades

This is a good idea. I have folders that I haven't used in months (handling them isn't the same as using them), and I am contemplating getting rid of them. After about a week of use, they stay. I think I should rotate every few weeks.

Every morning when I wake up I stick my hand into the box and pull out an EDC, my method is random but it does prove to be interesting.

Actually when I get up I pick 1 custom folder, 1 custom non-folder, a production slippie and a production lockback.

Where I go and what I wear determine the knive materials.

I like variety, so even if I love my current EDC I usually change out what I carry often...the shortest EDC I had lasted about 5 hours...the longest EDC I carried lasted about 6 months...but I usually switch every 2 or 3 weeks...Not to say I don't like all my EDC's but I just like to try new thgins...

This is / was my current EDC list:
I mostly carry my Boker Subcom (plain edge) due to the length and utility.
Dress up: Kershaw Leek with smoked black handles. Plain edge.
Yard work: G-10 Byrd Cara Cara, plain edge.
Hunting: Gerber EZ Guthook and Mora knife.
Out at night: Kershaw Leek (plain edge) and / or Boker Subcom (plain edge)
Shooting: Waved Spyderco Endura, plain edge.
Travel: Spyderco Delica (plain edge) or Kershaw Scallion (plain edge)
Outdoors: BuckTool 360 with a Mora knife and standard-issue Ontario 18" machete.

In addition, I carry the following blades with me everywhere I go:
Razor blades in wallet. Victorinox Classic SD on keychain. Swiss-Tec UtiliKey (replaced my Case Mini Blackhorn) on keychain. Opinel No. 9 in front pocket.

I've rotated between my BM14250S (HK Axis Lock), Spyderco Endura and my BM 42. Every now and then I carry my ASP, and or a Fixed Blade (CRKT Sting or MOD MKVI Stinger).

I just changed my EDC after about 10 years. I finally just got bored with it, but it's still a great knife for my needs. It is a Boker Titan, titanium handle & 440c blade.

I recently purchased a small classic sebenza w/ snakewood inlays, and a ZDP189 Leek. I'm carrying the Leek. It's just more fun.

CARGO pants. FULL cargo pants.

Newest first, then favorite. Unless newest becomes favorite. Any which way as long as the U-2 gets in there once in a while just out of respect for the most bestest lil knife in the world that looks like nuttin at all.

:)

My EDC changes as often as the wind blows. My newest will be the Spyderco Atlantic salt when it arrives. I find the escue model to be a great utility design and the easiest to open of all my folders. I can't wait to test the H1.

I have no real system for switching off knives, just sorta what strikes me. I rotate between; Strider AR, RJ martin Devastator, BM Rukus, and a DDR Mad Max. Currently I have the Strider AR in pocket. I may carry this knife for a couple more weeks and then again, only a couple more days, just whatever strikes my fancy. All of my knives, exceopt the Mad Max, are carried tip up, and I'm used to the action required to pull and open the knife fairly quick. The Mad Max is tip down and takes a little more time to situate in the hand and open. I'm thinking of sending it to Darrell and having it set up for tip up carry. Another thing is that my carry folders are set up with low ride clips and I will not carry a knife that sticks out of my pocket for all to see. I had to move the clip on the AR to accomomdate this but it turned out very good and it is all but hidden in pocket with only the clip showing.

I have no set rotation. I always carry a Micra and a folder.

I don't use knives for SD so carrying the same thing in the same place is not an issue.

I think about where I am going and whether I need to be PC or not. For work, I grab a slipjoint. (Corporate set out a new knife policy which is not yet well defined, so I am currently cautious about what I carry there. The old local rule was anything under 3".)

For church or social, something 3" - 3.5" with a clip. Usually my Native III.
